March's NONPROFIT:

Olivia's Gift

Olivia’s Gift is an inspiring, repeatable, and much-needed model for providing celebrated living for adults with serious disabilities.

Olivia’s Gift provides nurturance and support to help adults with severe disabilities live rich lives and achieve their potential. More than a building, it’s a resource center, a therapeutic environment, and a point of connection for families and community. A home away from the family home.

Professional care is supported by advanced therapies and equipment to create a rich, stimulating environment for residents.

Therapies, Programs, and Activities

  • State-of-the-art MOVE therapy equipment
  • Activities, outings, and community connections that encourage family and volunteer participation
  • Art, music, recreation and pet therapies
  • Access to nature
  • Advocacy and consultation for families
  • Liaisonship with governmental and mental health agencies
  • Flexible and timely emotional and spiritual support

As always, you can benefit our monthly non-profits simply by dining with us throughout the month and especially on our Event Day- Monday, March 27th where 50% of food sales will be donated.

Charitable Giving:

Mitten Foundation

Each month, the Mitten Foundation will partner with a different local non-profit organization in an effort to raise both funds and awareness. With the help of its staff and customers, the Mitten has raised more than $100,000 for local organizations since opening in 2012.

The foundation's criteria for choosing non-profit partners is twofold: the organization must be local or have a strong local presence, and they must be small enough that the donation will make a measurable difference. The foundation strives to connect each dollar donated to the effect it has.

The Mitten Brewing Company was humbled to receive the West Michigan Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professional’s 2015 “President’s Award” in recognition of its commitment to fundraising. The company plans to expand its community involvement efforts as it grows, and they recently started an employee volunteer program that provides staff with opportunities to become personally involved with non-profit partners.

For more information about the Mitten Foundation’s monthly non-profit partners, how you can get involved with the foundation, and all other donation inquiries, please contact Non-Profit & Event Coordinator Dana Mate Dones at dana@mittenbrewing.com
